I work with individuals who often feel overwhelmed as a result of experiencing chronic stress & unpredictability, parenting challenges, parent-child relationship issues, family conflict, unhealthy relationship patterns, complex trauma, attachment/adoption, emotional & behavioral regulation challenges, divorce, intimate partner abuse, FASDs, neurodevelopmental disabilities, neurodiversity, or who feel “othered” in society.
My background includes working with adults, children & adolescents. This also includes Parent-child and Parent therapy, a critical part of a child/adolescent's therapeutic treatment.
My style is warm, conversational, and practical… with a little humor [because it can be therapeutic to pair the heaviness of our issues with the experience of lightness and comfort]. My approach brings together knowledge of relational/complex and developmental trauma, attachment, and interpersonal neurobiology to work with the individual needs of each individual & family. With a neuro-inclusive lens, I help work through inner and external conflict to find new opportunities to connect & relate to self, others, and the world.
I am an Internal Family Systems (IFS) & Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) informed therapist. My clinical approach is influenced by the principles of neurobiologically-informed trauma approaches, attachment theory, CPS, and other evidence-based modalities.
